Inclement Weather: Remote Learning Schedule:
In the event that students and staff are moved to remote learning due to weather or illness, the procedure will be as follows:
All students should have their Chromebooks and chargers to access our online curriculum. On Remote Learning Days, students will receive assignments in each content area through Google Classroom to support their classroom learning, state assessments, and End-of-Course exams. During these hours, I will be available on Google Meet or email to assist students and parents with assignments and content.
Classroom hours: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
About Me:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Erika Lockhart. I teach 7th and 8th grade general Science in our middle school. I've taught a total of 20 years, 19 of those years teaching the 7th and 8th grade rocket students! I love spending time with family, being outdoors, camping, hiking and traveling. I'm excited to have a great year and look forward to many fun learning experiences!

Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Education 4th-9th grade --Otterbein University
Master’s Degree in Zoology/Conservation

Teaching Philosophy:
Science is something that is around us all the time! Students are given opportunities in my class to be given real world situations and finding solutions to different scenarios. It is important for students to continue to be involved in hands-on activities through inquiry. This allows them to have a space to dive deep into their learning journey. Learning is a lifelong adventure that I want to spark the love of learning in the classroom.
