I began my career in Fayetteville 29 years ago as a 6th grade teacher after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. I loved the sense of community and family in Fayetteville, and I knew this was where I wanted to grow in my career!  After receiving my Master’s of Education in School Counseling, I transitioned from the FMS Student Services position and Creative Writing Teacher to the full time Guidance Counselor for both the elementary and middle schools. In 2019, I became the District Guidance Counselor providing mental health support for the district.

My husband and I have been married for 33 years. We live within the district and are proud that both of our children graduated from Fayetteville HS. Fayetteville is a wonderful place to live, and I enjoy working in a school district and community where everyone cares for one another as one big family!

As well as being the District Guidance Counselor, I am also the 40 Developmental Assets Coordinator, HERO League Supervisor, Whole Child Coordinator, and District Testing Coordinator working with grades K-8. I am proud to be a part of our district and enjoy that my days are busy with a variety of challenges and will continue to focus on the best interests of our students, families and district.
