About Me:
Hello, my name is Gracie Roades and I'm the 6-12 art educator for FPLS! This is my 3rd year here and I teach everything from foundations, art history, to medium-specific classes. I am also head of the HS art club! Some things I'm passionate about are my own personal art, music and dancing, plants, horses, and always continuing education myself!
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Art History - [University of Cincinnati, 2019-2022]
Master’s Degree in Art History and Visual Culture - [Lindenwood University, 2024-present]
Teaching Philosophy:
My goal is to create an engaging classroom environment where all students feel the importance of art and the skills learned both in and outside my classroom! I tailor my lessons to the skill levels for each class and create all my own examples for students to follow. I'm a strong believer in teaching practical artistic skills and knowledge!
