About Me:
My name is Gretchen Ansteatt. I have taught at Fayetteville-Perry Elementary my entire teaching career. I went to Clermont Northeastern High School and then attended Wilmington College. In 1997, I accepted a full-time teaching position after having worked in the district as a substitute teacher. I taught 3rd grade for 12 years. In 2009, I switched to teaching 1st grade and am still in that position currently.
I have seven children of my own and 1 granddaughter. I love attending my kids’ sporting events and school activities. I enjoy working in my vegetable and flower gardens, and in my spare time, reading a good book.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education - Wilmington College
Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every student has unique strengths and learning styles. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to achieve their best. I use a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, group work, and technology integration, to make learning fun and effective.
