About Me:
Hello! My name is Jason Basford. I am a satellite instructor from Southern Hills Career Technical Center. I teach 7th/8th grade Information Technology and 7th grade Career Connections.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems- Wilmington College
Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Technology) - Grand Canyon University
Certified in Computer Science 6-12
Teaching Philosophy:
In my middle school Information Technology classes, I believe in fostering a dynamic learning environment where students not only grasp key concepts but also cultivate their independence through hands-on projects. By integrating background knowledge with practical applications, I encourage students to explore their interests and think critically about technology's role in their lives. My teaching philosophy centers on collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving, allowing students to take ownership of their learning. I aim to empower each student to develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate an ever-evolving digital world.
