About Me:
Hello! My name is LoAnn Haines, and I am thrilled to be teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies again this year. I have been teaching for over 15 years, and my passion is helping students discover their potential and develop a love for learning about history.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - University of Cincinnati
Middle Childhood 4-9th Grade Teaching Certificate - University of Cincinnati
Master’s Degree in Integrated Curriculum - American College of Education
Teaching Philosophy:
I look forward to teaching your children Social Studies content but I also think it is very important to connect the content to life skills. This year 8th grade students will participate in Real Money Real World. This is a financial literacy program coordinated by The Ohio State University Extension. Students learn the importance of possessing marketable skills and money management.
In my free time I love spending time with my grandchildren and working at our farm with the horses.
