About Me:
Welcome to my page! My name is Mendy Hamilton. I have been teaching at FPLS since 2003. I have taught in kindergarten, second and third grade classrooms. I am currently teaching science/STEM to grades k-3 as well as reading intervention.
I have worked to create an outdoor learning garden on campus for students to observe native pollinators. The garden is an Ohio Department of Natural Resources designated Wild School Site! Hope you can visit sometime.
I am beekeeper and currently have 26 colonies! I love to explore whether its on a trip, through the pages of a book, in a museum or in my own backyard! My favorite place to spend time is outside in nature!
I aim to instill a sense of curiosity and wonder in every student.

Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning (focus on Reading Instruction) Nova Southeastern University
